Un Peu Plus

Metz has been very nice, and it's easy to get around. The weather is still overcast all of the time, but as long as it's not raining too much it's easy to endure in a place like this.
Foggy night
I have fallen in love with studying maps, and posted a huge one in my room so I can start flagging places, but at the same time planning is almost exhausting. Paris is postponed for a few more weeks, but I have other plans to replace it.

Cooking has been real fun, yesterday I made a delightful melt; turkey, carrot shavings, mushrooms, Raclette cheese  and lettuce in a grilled sandwhich (the French make fun of us for putting everything on a sandwich, and yet they don't have baby carrots so everything is "what's up doc?" style. There's a man down the hall, Alexander; excellent cook. He has every type of cooking utensil, and ingredients unfortunately a great deal ends up on the floor. I'm hoping soon he will see how wonderful a clean kitchen looks though!
Bank accounts are set up, though the whole process is pretty slow. In the meantime everyone is still growing antiquated with one another and our class schedules.

Yesterday I played basketball with some french students in the nearby college, SUPLEC where most kids in ALOES go to. That was very enjoyable. The good thing about sports is there's not too much need to know conversational French!
