The First Night Out! /and the Second

Shopping for food and appliances at la Cora has been interesting enough. The store is huge-so many really nice things for cheap! Milk is not refrigerated on the shelves, possibly because it is not pasteurized? Just by walking around I've been learning so many French words. Though still gaining skill at this charades game. Yesterday I went to the pharmacy to buy Aspirin. There were 4 different lines, so I asked someone for help, and if they spoke English. Of course not; So i fumbled my way with French explaining that <I don't speak French, pero, I would like aspirin> and pointed at my head, and motioned to the lines <which> all in french except for "pero" because that's just what happens when I speak french. Filler words become Spanish. They told me to get a number, I felt like I was in Beetle Juice. Then they asked if I had a prescription, I didn't, so they motioned me to the sign that said something meaning a quicker line. Though the line was 3xs as long. Nottt a quicker line. I asked the woman at the counter the same question concerning aspirin. Lo and behold, aspirin is a brand here, so she brings over 3 different medicines, but suggested one, because I continued to touch my head. The other two were vitamin C and stomach stuff, but the one she suggested said douleurs, and fievre, so I hoped it was not just for fevers and went with it. These are 1000mg tablets. That's equivalent to taking 5 advil. I'm impressed..

Now for the fun and interesting things!
Left to Right... Sydney, Pierre, Joseph, Jamie, Fabien, "The Man", Me, Mark, Dalton

Brenna, Jamie, Me, Fabien
Friday night we headed out downtown on the bus. We got 2 way tickets, but I still have 2, because I accidentally did not swipe as we were supposed to.

 This is the first thing we see when we get there. It's all cobble stone streets and tall old European buildings.

All along the archway there were bows of branches in lights, or snowflakes. The first night there was a very interesting escapade
We came to a really incredible river and bridges and neat sights. The second night out was equally awesome.
There was an astounding cathedral;

The Architecture...
The night was incredible, I experienced an Irish pub for the first time, though after that we went to a different club with more features of entertainment; foose-ball and pool. While everyone was speaking French, I would let people know that I only spoke English or Spanish. I met some people who spoke Spanish at least and held some enjoyable conversations that way.
I'm pretty sure I'm going to spend winter break traveling Spain, so that will be very fun! I'm so excited.
Classes start tomorrow, and though I believe one of my classes spends weekends traveling at first, if we don't I will be going to Paris this coming weekend!
Au Revoir!
